Once your Bishop’s email/calendar has been transitioned to the cloud, you will need to update some of the configurations on your personal or home devices in order to start receiving your email and/or access to your calendar again.
Note that after the upgrade, the best way to access your email & calendar is using Microsoft’s official Outlook software, either from the Office 365 portal or by downloading and installing Outlook on your home and mobile devices.
If you already had your email setup on a home or mobile device, select a link below which will detail the minor change you will need to make to the software to continue using that application:
Setting up Outlook on MacOS
Step 1:
Select "Preferences" from the Outlook menu.

Step 2:
Select "Accounts" from the Preferences window.

Step 3:
Add "@ubishops.ca" after your username.

Setting up Outlook on Windows
You will be prompted to re-enter your password. Once you have entered your password, your settings will be automatically updated.
Setting up Mail on MacOS
Step 1:
Select "Preferences" from the Mail menu.

Step 2:
Under "Account" select "Server Settings",
1- Add "@ubishops.ca" after your username,
2- Uncheck "Automatically manage connection settings",
3- enter the full URL "https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx" to both the Internal and External URL boxes.

Setting up Mail on iOS
Step 1:
In the Settings app select "Passwords & Accounts".

Step 2:
Select your Bishop's account to update your login settings.

Step 3:
Add "@ubishops.ca" after your username.

Setting up Mail on Windows
Step 1:
You will need to remove your Bishop's account and re-enter it with the new configuration.
Select "Manage accounts" in the Settings to do so.

Step 2:
When adding your Bishop's account, scroll down and select "Advanced setup".

Step 3:
Select "Exchange ActiveSync".

Step 4:
Select "Exchange ActiveSync".

Step 5:
Fill the required field as such:
Username & Email address - Enter your email address.
Password - Your BU password
Domain - Bishops.ca
Server - outlook.office365.com
Account name - To identify your BU account.
Click "Sign in" to add your account to Mail in Windows.

Setting up your Bishop’s account on Android
Step 1:
You will need to remove your Bishop's account and re-enter it with the new configuration.
On your android device go to settings, and then select cloud and accounts.
In cloud and accounts select "Accounts".

Step 2:
You should see many accounts on this page. You should select the account that is username@ubishops.ca. Then select
Now you should be prompted and asked if you are sure you'd like to remove the account. This will not get rid of any emails you have, so you can remove the account.

Step 3:
Go to your preferred mail app of choice. In this case we are using the default android mail app. If you have multiple accounts just go to your settings and add an account, it should bring up a similar dialog to the one you see here. You will need to select "Office365".

Step 4:
Sign in using your bishops email (username@ubishops.ca).

Step 5:
The app will prompt you for permissions. Select activate.
Next it may ask you for other settings, set these to your liking and then you should be all set.
