Forwarding a phishing email “as an attachment” to an Octomail message.

This support page will guide you through the steps to attach a suspicious email “as an attachment” to an octomail message. This will be necessary if you were trying to report a phishing attempt without having forwarded the suspicious email “as an attachment”. If you have forwarded normally the email in question to us, you will receive an octomail message asking you to send us the email you are attempting to report as an attachment.

Step 1:

Select the platform you are trying to attached as an attachment from:


Outlook on Mac:

Select and drag the email you want to attach as an attachment into your octomail reply.

The suspicious email will be attached properly to the response, you can proceed to sending this reply.



Outlook on Windows:

Select and drag the email you want to attach as an attachment into your octomail reply.

The suspicious email will be attached properly to the response, you can proceed to sending this reply.



Webmail:

Select the email you want to attach as an attachment

Under “Action” select “Forward as an attachment”


Step 2:IMPORTANT

To ensure that the reply is associated to your existing ticket, make sure to COPY & PASTE the subject from the octomail message into the subject line of your new email.

Your email is now ready to be sent to helpdesk@ubishops.ca, you have successfully reported the suspicious message.



If you would like to report new phishing emails to the Helpdesk, please, select the platform from which you are attempting to report the suspicious message from bellow and follow the instruction to ensure the suspicious emails are sent properly.
