Forwarding All Calls to Another Phone

This tutorial will explain the process of forwarding all calls from your BU Cisco phone to a different phone number. This will allow you to take calls on a cell phone or home phone while away from your office.

NOTE: All BU Cisco phone have the option to forward your extension to another extension but only a few of our BU Cisco phone are configured to allow your extension to be forwarded to a number outside of the BU phone system (cell or home phone). ITS may configure a BU Cisco phone to be forwarded outside of the University under certain conditions. To check if this is possible, contact ITS.

1. Model 7841

Step 1:

Press the third button from the left under the display screen labelled “Fwd All”.

Step 2:

Listen for the tone and enter the number you would like to forward calls to. Remember that if you want to forward to a phone outside of Bishop’s, “9” and the regional code (except for 819 numbers) must be entered before the phone number.

Step 3:

Congratulations! You have successfully forwarded all calls to your desired phone number or extension.

To stop forwarding calls, simply press the same button again (it should be labelled “Fwd Off”).

2. Model 3905

Step 1:

Press the centre “square” button between the two arrows.

Navigate to “Call Forwarding All” and select it with the centre button again.

Step 2:

Listen for the tone and enter the number you would like to forward calls to. Remember that if you want to forward to a phone outside of Bishop’s, “9” and the regional code (except for 819 numbers) must be entered before the phone number.

Step 3:

Congratulations! You have successfully forwarded all calls to your desired phone number or extension.

To stop forwarding calls, simply repeat Step 1.
