Let me introduce you to myBU, our “intranet” site and your one-stop tool for most of the information you’ll need as an employee of BU. Think of it as your online personal assistant minus the coffee runs. From myBU, you can book meeting rooms, submit custom print jobs through our Print Shop, access Office 365 documents without any hassle, and submit work orders for campus issues, from flickering lights to plumbing problems.

It’s packed with essential info about Payroll, Health & Safety, HR concerns, and more. myBU is the place that departments can share information with employees. Pro tip: keep an eye on the Campus Applications and Sites block on the top right-hand side of the employees home page — it’s your gateway to all of the online campus tools and that block is in the top right corner of almost every page on myBU.
· Now, let’s discuss about one superstar platform you might use in the future. B&G Work Order System (aka Buildings & Grounds). Whether it’s a leaky faucet, or a broken light, this system connects you with the B&G team to sort it out quickly.
· Meeting Room Bookings! Let’s be honest—sometimes online meetings just don’t work, especially when you’re tackling big, important projects that need some face-to-face brainstorming magic. That’s where a quiet, organized meeting room swoops in to save the day! Lucky for you, Bishop’s University has plenty of these gems available. All you need to do is click the Meeting Room Bookings button, and voilà! You’ll be whisked away to the booking portal to lock in your perfect spot for serious discussions.
· Of course, we’ve got Office 365! These days, it’s practically the champion tool of productivity and collaboration for companies and universities alike. Loaded with powerhouse apps like Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and more, it’s your ultimate toolkit. If myBU is your best friend, think of Office 365 as your daily sidekick, always available to keep you on top of your game!
Faculty members will find links to Moodle (our campus LMS (learning management system)) and Panopto (our campus video platform).
· Finally for today, we have the printshop at the university! Our printshop is like a one-stop shop for all your printing dreams that go beyond what your local photocopier can print — think business cards, bound books, brochures, flyers, and so much more! They’ve got customization options for you like double-sided printing, colored paper, and even stapled materials if that’s your vibe. Just click the Print Shop Request button, and it’ll whisk you straight to the portal. Feel free to visit the printshop at the porter’s office of Marjorie Donald Building!
