Seeing up to 49 People in a Teams Meeting

Microsoft Teams used to be limited to the view of only 9 cameras at a time, which was very common amongst web conferencing software.  Recent upgrades however have now enabled viewing up to 49 people at a time in a call.

(Note: a Teams meeting can have up to 300 participants at the same time, but with this recent upgrade you can now see up to 49 visually at the same time.)

In order to enable this functionality, you need to make a one-time change to the settings in Teams:

As indicated in the picture above, you need to “Turn on new meeting experience”.
