Browser's Built-in Passwords

Saving passwords in your internet browser is getting common since almost every website requires an account with a password. It gets hard to remember all these passwords, and it’s easier to save them to access the content faster and save time.

This helpful tool becomes an issue when you change your password but the browser still remembers your old one. In the case of your Bishop’s account it can lock you out as it automatically tries to login to your account with the old password, and your account is set to lock after too many missed attempts!

You may also notice that saving your password in your browser will only save it for that browser. So, if you have to use a different one, you won’t have passwords saved. A password manager is a far safer and more convenient tool in that respect!

However, if you are using browser saved passwords and you need to modify them, here are some instructions for the different browsers that we support on campus:
